GDPR as applied by Octagon Projects

1.   OPC does not store or share any data via cookie transactions or any other monitoring means for user sessions.
2.   That said, our ISP is legally bound to retain data by most governments to enable national, or international law enforcement agencies to demand all the recorded information, if deemed necessary. All ISPs and telecom providers must keep records of all their IP addresses for an established period of time. In this way state agencies can get information about the identity of the person who used an IP at any given moment.
3.   We do not web scrape, use or sell private data. Octagon Projects are wholly against the practice (by companies and individuals) of web scrapping without the explicit written acceptance (i.e. not couched in general terms and hidden deep in a license).
4.   OPC do extensively monitor attempts to breach the site security and act accordingly
   

1.   Everyone seems to get upset about everything these days to which I would say "get a life!" Banter has and will continue to be an ever-present part of life, but it should never be used under the name of free speech to deliberately cause pain from the security of your keyboard or anywhere else.
2.   Everyone has obligations of civility and respect for others that underlie rational discourse, some call this Free Speech.
3.    But when Free Speech crosses lines into whispering campaigns or racial, sexual, and intense personal harassment, it shows grave disrespect to others. In my opinion, this is no longer an area of Free Speech. Behavior evidently intended to dishonor such characteristics as race, gender, ethnic group, religious belief, or sexual orientation is contrary to a civilized society.
4.   This site aims to grow into a community of like-minded individuals for all things shared and Octagon Projects. Key to this goal is free speech. Banter, jokes and satire are covered by free speech provided they stop before they cross the line.
5.   Since the adoption of the Dutch Constitution in 1814, citizens have a guaranteed right to the freedom of expression, association, and assembly. It also guarantees citizens the right to privacy, inviolability of their person, and access of information.
6.   Free speech must be accepted provided is remains decent. That is to say, it does not sink to racial, sexual, and intense personal harassment tactics.
